About
Raggy is a lightweight command-line tool for retrieval-augmented generation over local documents, combining a hybrid vector-plus-BM25 index with embeddings and answer generation that can run fully locally via Ollama or remotely through an API key. It supports PDFs, Office documents, Markdown, HTML, and scanned images via OCR, and returns answers with citations and relevance scores.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets you query your own PDFs, docs, and scanned images entirely offline with hybrid retrieval and cited answers, avoiding both a hosted RAG service and the overhead of hand-assembling LangChain, Chroma, and Ollama yourself.
