About
Modly is a desktop application for Windows, Linux, and Apple Silicon macOS that generates 3D meshes from photographs or text prompts. It runs open-source image-to-3D models locally on the user's own GPU, so nothing is uploaded to a hosted service. A stdlib-only CLI lets scripts and agents drive a running Modly instance without touching the UI.
Why it made the leaderboard
Local photo-to-mesh with no service dependency gives game and 3D builders an asset pipeline that costs nothing per generation and keeps source images off third-party servers.
