About

acplause is an Agent Client Protocol v2 agent that talks to an editor over stdio and uses any OpenAI-compatible Chat Completions API as its model, with OpenRouter as the default. It streams text and reasoning, calls tools in the workspace, asks permission before changing files or running commands, and keeps sessions across restarts. Users configure it with environment variables, so editors that support the protocol can use hosted or local models.

Why it made the leaderboard

Lets any ACP v2 editor use OpenRouter or local OpenAI-compatible models as a full coding agent with permission prompts, MCP tools and resumable sessions.
