About
Playmat is a fan-made web client for XMage, the open-source Magic: The Gathering rules engine. It adds a WebSocket bridge to the server and a browser interface styled after MTG Arena, with play against AI opponents, friend invites, a practice mode, attack arrows and a visible stack. It runs in the browser, as a desktop download, or on a self-hosted server. It is not affiliated with Wizards of the Coast.
Why it made the leaderboard
It gives players a free browser-based way to play Magic: The Gathering against AI or friends using the open-source XMage rules engine, with no install required.
