Context

A search interface can change when an decides its work is finished. In the job-search example described in this talk, attaching a display widget to search results reportedly caused the agent to stop after one search, instead of continuing to compare options.

The proposed fix separates searching from displaying. One tool returns job data for the agent to inspect and filter; another displays the selected jobs. Information shown to the user, including subsequent interactions, also needs to reach the model so it can answer follow-up questions. This lets the interface present a selection without making every intermediate search look like a finished answer.
