ChatGPT adds recurring team tasks for engineering status work

OpenAI's developer account says ChatGPT can now automate recurring engineering work with team tasks, giving the example of pulling together what shipped and what's blocked every Friday (OpenAIDevs on X). What makes the task a team one, in the post's description, is that steering it is shared: teammates can review the results and change what the next update covers, so the person who set it up does not have to maintain it on their own.

The attached promotional screenshot shows how that is meant to look. A Scheduled view lists tasks grouped under a Marketing team and a Data science team; a daily sales summary and a customer funnel task run daily, while a sentiment analysis task is set to trigger on a Slack event. Under the result of the daily sales task, two named teammates post follow-ups in the same thread, one asking for a breakdown by sales channel and the other asking for it to be saved to Google Slides, and ChatGPT starts working on the request. The post does not say which ChatGPT plans include team tasks or when they reach users.
