Tencent Unveils Full Stack Embodied Intelligence Solution At Waic 2026

Tencent used the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference to describe a full-stack approach to embodied intelligence, meaning software that lets robots perceive their surroundings, decide and act. Tencent's announcement names a three-model portfolio: Hy-Embodied-RxBrain-1.0 as a reasoning engine that combines language reasoning with visual understanding, Hy-Embodied-VLM-1.0 for perception, and Hy-Embodied-VLA-0.5, a single model that brings vision, language and physical action together and can be deployed across different robot types.

Around the models, Tencent describes the TairosAgent framework and Apexio agent for perceive-decide-act loops, an upgraded Tairos platform offering open-source capabilities, agents and development tools, and a cloud service it calls Embodied-AI-as-a-Service. These are company statements. Tencent says VLM-1.0 performs comparably to its previous flagship model with one-tenth of the computing resources, and that the models have been tested in retail guidance, visitor assistance and eldercare, but the announcement reports no results from those tests. It establishes what Tencent is offering, not how reliably the robots perform.
