Qwen-Image-2.1: Compact, efficient, and unified image creation

Qwen's Qwen-Image-2.1 combines image generation and editing with native transparency support. Its model card says the model can generate regular or transparent (RGBA) images from text, edit transparent layers, and extract subjects from photographs.

For someone making design assets, that puts creating a cutout and revising it within the same model's supported workflow. The model card also says the model supports up to ten reference images for editing. These are announced capabilities; the examples do not establish a universal quality advantage over other image tools.
