Faster generation lets you explore more design ideas. FLUX.2 [pro], our most heavily used model, is now 2x faster with no loss in quality and no price increase. More examples in the thread 🧵
FLUX.2 [pro] hits the sweet spot of high quality + reasonable speed + broad capabilities (text-to-image, image editing, multi-reference). Excels at photorealism in product photos and graphic design.

Context
Black Forest Labs reported on March 3, 2026 that FLUX.2 pro generated images twice as fast without raising its price or reducing quality. Its announcement frames the change around trying more design ideas: shorter waits between generations let users inspect a result and attempt another version sooner. This is a vendor-reported improvement to generation speed; the post does not provide timing conditions that would turn it into a fixed seconds-per-image expectation.
