Context

Browserbase proposes giving browser agents an identity that websites can recognize across visits. Its identity announcement describes Verified, which combines a stable, reproducible browser presence with Web Bot Auth, a mechanism for presenting cryptographically signed proof of who an is. A receiving site or its anti-bot provider can check that information when deciding how to treat the agent. The intended change is to make access decisions depend on a recognizable participant instead of treating each automated session as an unknown arrival. Its usefulness consequently depends on websites and their protection systems recognizing that identity.
