LangChain's Gateway inside LangSmith is giving free access to SemIf, an open-source decision model, for one week. According to LangChain's own documentation, SemIf (built as semif-qwen3.5-4b) returns a structured classification or score for a given input rather than an open-ended chat reply, the same category of model as TypeSafe AI's Jev, which LangSmith separately uses for trace evaluation.
The free week lets a developer route classification or routing calls through SemIf inside their existing Gateway setup at no cost, then decide whether to keep using it once the trial ends, without a separate provider account. The tweet gives no pricing for after the free period and no comparison against alternatives like Jev, so cost and accuracy differences are not established here.
