Context
OpenAI's Data in ChatGPT Work lets employees ask questions of connected company data in natural language and develop the answers into interactive dashboards. Its announcement says the agent uses business such as metric definitions and data relationships alongside the underlying records, which helps it interpret what an organization's figures mean.
Administrators manage which data connections are available and who can use them. OpenAI says queries respect the connected account's existing table, row and column permissions, and that dashboards can be edited, shared and refreshed. These are OpenAI's descriptions of the design; they are not an independent test of answer accuracy or of how the access controls behave in a particular deployment.
