Context
Missions, a feature of Factory's Droid coding , divides a software project among agents with different responsibilities. A coordinator defines testable completion criteria and breaks the work into features. Fresh worker sessions implement those features, while separate validators inspect the results and exercise the application. The architecture description makes validation a milestone gate: identified gaps become repair tasks before that milestone is checked again.
Shared files preserve requirements, progress, and operational knowledge across sessions. Each agent reads the material relevant to its assignment, so one growing conversation does not have to carry every implementation detail. Separating these roles is intended to keep workers focused and make completion depend on independent checks.
- AI agent — An AI system that doesn't just answer once but works toward a goal in a loop — taking actions, reading the results, and deciding what to do next.
- context window — The maximum amount of text a model can consider at once — its working memory for the current conversation or task.
