Seedance 2 0 Official Launch

Seedance 2.0 gives creators several ways to specify a video using existing reference material. ByteDance Seed’s February 2026 launch article describes combining written instructions with image, video and audio inputs, so a request can draw on a reference’s composition, camera movement or sound. The model jointly generates audio and video and supports targeted editing and clip extension. This gives the creator more explicit control over the intended result than a written description alone. The company nevertheless identifies remaining problems with multiple-subject consistency, text rendering and complex edits.
