Anthropic launches a submission portal for Claude plugins

• Plugins package MCP servers and skills, and Anthropic calls them the main way for third-party developers to extend Claude; submissions are made directly in Claude, where developers can also track review status.
• There are two submission types: a single MCP connector that points to a remote MCP server, or a plugin bundle combining MCP servers and skills in a GitHub repo.
• Once live, analytics show installs by product and version, how often a listing is viewed, and which searches lead to it; Anthropic says one discovery experience will roll out across Claude and Claude Code over the coming weeks.

• agent skill — A reusable instruction file that teaches an agent how to do one job well — the procedure, the tools, and what counts as done.
