Black Forest Labs’ FLUX.1 Fill lets an image editor specify both what should change and where it should change. A text instruction describes the replacement, while a binary mask marks the area to edit. The same tool can extend an image beyond its existing borders. The FLUX.1 Tools announcement says this produces edits that integrate with the existing image. The page now carries a deprecation notice for the separate Depth and Canny tools. It says their API support is ending while their downloadable weights remain available; Fill and Redux are unaffected. The original four-tool launch should therefore not be read as a current four-tool API offering.
