with Grock and Nvidia by extension? >> Well, this goes to Jeff's paradox, which is the the need for compute is limitless. Um, you know, effectively as long as there are unsolved problems in civilization, we will have a need for more compute. Right now, cancer isn't cured. uh people still get old and uh there isn't enough compute, right? So those are three problems right there. And as long as those exist, we're going to have to continue to move everything ahead. And so that means we're going to need smarter AI, means we're going to need more compute to have more of that AI run in parallel and solve more problems in parallel. And so as we're improving, we're going to start seeing the cost for a unit of intelligence go down. But then you get into Jeban's paradox which is the lower the cost the more people are willing to spend. >> And and this goes back to like Jeban's paradox people now talk about it but um it comes from a uh treaties on coal that was written in the 1800s where um this guy noticed that every time steam engines got more efficient the total amount of coal consumed increased. Where that comes from is as an activity becomes less expensive, it becomes possible to do activities that weren't profitable before and be profitable. It becomes possible um to do more of that activity. Um and also um you start to see people experiment more, try more things and so on. With AI becoming as inexpensive as it is, it's going to increase the demand for AI to the point where people are going to spend more and more on it. they're going to need more compute. And so I just think we're going to have this endless demand for compute. And another analogy here is if you pull twice as much oil out of the ground, it doesn't enable people to um it doesn't enable twice as many people to to get a transportation benefit, >> right? >> Um right, you have to have a car. >> But once you train a model, if you provide twice as much compute, twice as many people can use it. you can solve twice as many problems. So every time we build an AI factory, you immediately can do more things and that's going to lead to people wanting to do more things because it keeps pushing the cost down and therefore you know Kevin's paradox. >> So success disasters are inevitable. >> Yes. The more compute we provide for the world, the more compute people are going to want. >> Is there anything else you want to communicate to a hyper technical and curious audience? Uh, I think when I try to like a lot of people come up to me and ask, you know, what should their kids do? That's a that's a huge one. >> And my answer to that pretty simple. Um, the way that education is done today is very much about information age thinking, which is teaching them to to come up with an answer to a question. But with AI, it flips. it becomes coming up with the right question. If you can come up with the right question, AI can go answer it for you. And so my big recommendation to everyone listening is start learning how to ask better questions. Teach your kids how to ask better questions. Revamp the education system to be questionoriented. If the kids are solving the problems too easily because they're feeding your questions into an AI, you're not teaching them how to be successful in the future. But if you give them a problem where they have to come up with the questions themselves, you are preparing them for the future. >> Yeah, that rings true. I um I took a
