Anthropic's Boris Cherny: Why Coding Is Solved, and What Comes Next

Boris Cherny's claim that coding is solved applies explicitly to a personal workflow. In the interview, the Claude Code creator says the model writes all of Cherny's code, in a TypeScript and React codebase chosen because models handled it well, then distinguishes that from large, complicated codebases and languages the model handles less well.

The broader observation concerns who can implement an idea. Cherny says everyone on Anthropic's Claude Code team writes code, including designers, product managers and data scientists. From that experience, Cherny predicts more cross-disciplinary roles combining engineering with another field. The supported shift is in how this team works; the wider organizational change remains a forecast.
