Figma co-founder and CEO Dylan Field argues that AI widens what a team can explore without removing the work of exploring it well. In this March 2025 interview with Y Combinator's Garry Tan, which Figma edited and condensed, he describes an "idea maze" of branching paths through a product journey: AI gives more breadth in what you can try, but it still takes depth to fully explore each path.
