5 Tools
Aider is an open-source AI pair-programming tool for the terminal, founded by Paul Gauthier — who co-founded Inktomi, the search-engine infrastructure company that powered Yahoo and AOL in the early internet era, and later served as CTO at Groupon after his local-search startup Ludic Labs was acquired. Gauthier launched Aider in 2023 following his tenure as VP of Engineering at Geomagical Labs, a computer-vision and AR startup acquired by IKEA in 2021.
