goose is an open-source, local-first AI agent framework, and aaif-goose is the GitHub organization that hosts it along with the goose-mobile and vscode-goose repositories. Block developed goose and contributed it in December 2025 as a founding project of the Linux Foundation's Agentic AI Foundation, alongside Anthropic's Model Context Protocol and OpenAI's AGENTS.md.
