Career

Fu’s work spans testing, presentations, reusable UI logic, styling and developer interfaces. Alongside projects he created, his current portfolio identifies maintenance of Shiki, Twoslash and ESLint Stylistic and recent work on Vite and Nuxt developer tools. He also teaches through talks, writing, live coding and a Mandarin-language podcast.[1]

Contributions

Reuse the application’s tooling when testing it

Vitest builds on Vite’s configuration, transformations, resolvers and plugins so tests can use much of the application’s existing setup. It combines a familiar assertion and mocking interface with watch mode, coverage and browser-based testing. The shared transformation pipeline reduces the separate configuration a project needs to maintain for its test environment.[4]

Keep agent guidance connected to upstream documentation

His skills collection combines hand-maintained preferences with guidance generated from official tool documentation. Git submodules track the original documentation, supporting later regeneration as upstream projects change. Skills load on demand instead of putting all guidance into a permanent context file. Fu labels the project a proof of concept and says its practical effectiveness has not been fully tested.[3]

Write a presentation as a developer project

Slidev turns Markdown into presentation slides while allowing Vue components, live code, diagrams and mathematics within the deck. Vite provides quick reloads; presenter controls, annotations and export formats connect the development workflow to delivery. This gives a technical presenter a text-first artifact that remains programmable.[5]
