Career

Bölük’s public research covers Windows kernel behavior, reverse engineering, program analysis and cryptography. His blog includes work on the x86 instruction set, compilers and distributed broadcast. His newer agent work applies the same attention to interfaces: the mechanism a model uses to read, identify and edit code can determine whether its intended change is successfully expressed.[1][2][4]

Contributions

Changing the edit interface

In the harness essay, Bölük compares patch, exact replacement and hash-tagged line editing on mechanical code-repair tasks. Hashline returns a short content tag beside each line and asks the model to reference that tag when editing. If the underlying text changes, the tag check can reject a stale edit. The reported gains concern that benchmark and those edit formats; they do not establish that a model became more knowledgeable or that one interface wins on all coding tasks. The contribution is a concrete way to test the harness separately from model weights.[4]

An agent with development tools attached

Oh My Pi adds language-server operations, debugger access, code execution and other tools to the Pi agent. Those integrations expose capabilities normally used through an IDE, such as symbol-aware changes and inspecting a running program. The repository credits Pi as its upstream and identifies Stencil Labs as its builder.[3]

Read the harness essay before trying Oh My Pi. It explains a small edit operation and its failure modes, so you can distinguish a model’s task understanding from the interface it uses to modify a file.
