Chong-U Lim holds a PhD in computer science from MIT CSAIL (2016), where his doctoral research applied AI and social-science methods to model player identity and behavior in games and social media. He spent over a decade in the games industry, including time at Electronic Arts and as VP of Engineering at Improbable, and has since held CTO roles at game studios such as LightFury Games. He now writes and posts online as "AI Oriented Dev," focused on AI-assisted game development and coding with agentic tools like Claude Code and Cursor.
