Career
Crețu began as a frontend engineer at Landmarks in November 2021. He joined Deta in May 2022, moving from design toward implementation and leading the Surf browser prototype from April 2024. That work ended in December 2024. He joined Anara as a design engineer in June 2025 and has since worked on its agents, redesign and iOS app. His public coursework covers computer-science bachelor’s studies at Babeș-Bolyai University.[1][3]
Contributions
Animate text from the font’s own contours
Penflow renders handwriting-style text using glyph contours parsed with Typr.js. The repository separates the reusable package from the interactive demonstration site. Readers can try the effect on the site, then inspect how the package and demo fit together in the monorepo.[4][5]
Keep concurrent coding work visible to its reviewer
Diri runs existing agent CLIs side by side and shows which sessions are working, waiting or finished. Each task can have its own Git worktree and branch, with changes collected into a review interface. An MCP server exposes agent creation and coordination. The application runs locally or on a user-controlled SSH host; users bring their existing agent tools and accounts. Its current native interface uses Rust and GPUI.[6]
Ideas
In his education essay, Crețu proposes an adaptive tutor that builds a learner’s knowledge graph from conversation and weaves review into later exchanges. Instead of separate flashcard sessions, it would ask new problems requiring synthesis and connect them with earlier topics. This is his design proposal for a learning system, with retained understanding as the goal.[7]

Try a short phrase in Penflow’s browser demo, then inspect the package and site folders. Running the monorepo locally requires Node tooling and pnpm; the public demo is enough to explore the visual effect.
