Crystal DBA builds AI tooling for operating PostgreSQL databases; its crystaldba repository describes Crystal DBA as an AI teammate for operating PostgreSQL databases. It created and maintains Postgres MCP Pro, an open-source Model Context Protocol server that gives developers and AI agents index tuning, explain plans, health checks and safe SQL execution. A Software Huddle podcast episode presents CrystalDBA as the new venture of Johann Schleier-Smith, a co-founder of Tagged.
