Contributions
OmniRoute gives applications one local endpoint through which to call configured AI providers. A user can keep a compatible client while changing the model services behind it. Fallback routing selects another healthy target when a provider becomes unavailable or reaches a limit. The gateway also exposes operational controls such as connection cooldowns and circuit breakers, which isolate a failing connection instead of stopping every request.[3]
Ideas
The project distinguishes its provider catalog from a promise of free access. Users bring their own accounts and credentials, and each provider controls its own limits and terms. Its free-tier accounting groups shared pools so multiple entries do not count the same quota more than once. This makes provider availability, eligibility and budget part of routing decisions rather than treating every listed model as interchangeable.[2]

OmniRoute
github.comA self-hosted gateway for model-provider routing, fallback and quota-aware operations through a compatible local API.
Begin with the self-hosted quickstart and connect one provider you already have access to. A compatible client and any required provider credentials are needed; a catalog entry does not itself grant model access.
