Discord

Discord is an online communication platform founded in May 2015 by Jason Citron and Stanislav Vishnevskiy, originally under the name Hammer & Chisel. It began as a voice and text chat tool built for gamers before broadening in 2020 into a general-purpose communication app for communities of all kinds, organized around invite-based 'servers.' The service has grown into one of the most widely used chat platforms globally, with over 200 million monthly active users.
