Jeffrey Emanuel (@doodlestein) is a former long/short equity hedge fund analyst who worked at firms including Millennium Management and Balyasny Asset Management after earning a mathematics degree from Reed College. He became widely known in January 2025 as the author of a viral "Short Case for NVIDIA Stock" report, which circulated among prominent investors and commentators and was cited by Bloomberg's Matt Levine as a possible catalyst in a roughly $600 billion single-day drop in Nvidia's market capitalization. Emanuel is the founder and CEO of Pastel Network (rebranded Lumera), a blockchain platform for decentralized storage and AI verification, and also builds open-source tooling for multi-agent AI coding workflows.
