Eitan Borgnia is Relace’s co-founder and chief operating officer. His earlier research examined machine-learning robustness and data poisoning; his company work now spans coding-agent infrastructure and open-weight model inference.[1][5][3]

Study defenses against poisoned training data
Borgnia is first-listed author of DP-InstaHide. The work combines mixup, which trains on mixtures of examples, with added noise to strengthen privacy guarantees and resist poisoning or backdoor attacks. It examines the accuracy cost of those defenses rather than assuming that stronger protection is free. The guarantees concern the paper’s stated mechanism and assumptions, not every training pipeline.[5]
Build services around agent workloads
Relace’s earlier systems separated code retrieval and edit application into specialized models. Its current site describes an expanded open-weight inference business and lists Borgnia alongside Zhou as a company contact. His chief-operating-officer role is distinct from an authorship claim over the upstream models the service runs.[4][3]

DP-InstaHidearxiv.orgA training-data defense combining mixup with noise and explicit privacy guarantees.
Read the threat model and privacy assumptions before the reported defense results. Familiarity with supervised learning and differential privacy helps; the paper does not promise immunity from all data poisoning.
