Meta Research

2 Intel

Meta Research is the GitHub organization where Meta Platforms, based in Menlo Park, California, publishes open-source code from its research teams. Much of its work comes from Meta's AI research division, founded in 2013 as Facebook AI Research (FAIR) with Yann LeCun as its first director. That division released PyTorch as an open-source framework in 2017, and in 2025 Meta folded FAIR into Meta Superintelligence Labs.
