Firecrawl is a San Francisco-based, Y Combinator-backed company (Summer 2022 batch) that provides a web data API for AI applications, turning live web pages into clean, structured, LLM-ready data. It was founded by Caleb Peffer, Eric Ciarla, and Nicolas Silberstein Camara, who previously built the AI-docs-chat product Mendable before pivoting to Firecrawl.
