Jane Street is a quantitative trading firm founded in 1999 in New York City, with additional offices in London, Hong Kong, and Singapore, employing roughly 3,000 people worldwide. The firm trades a range of asset classes, including ETFs, equities, and derivatives, and is well known in the software community for building much of its internal trading infrastructure in OCaml. It maintains an active open-source presence on GitHub, publishing core libraries such as Core, Async, and the Dune build system.
