Jarrod Watts leads AI engineering at the Monad Foundation after several years in developer relations. He builds tools for supervising and coordinating coding agents, including Claude HUD and Claude Delegator, alongside experiments that let AI agents interact with blockchains.[2][3][4]

Career
Watts’s portfolio records software engineering at Quantium followed by developer-relations roles at Thirdweb, Polygon and Abstract. In April 2026 he joined the Monad Foundation as Lead AI Engineer. He describes that move as a return to building after four years helping other developers adopt tools. His education record lists a Bachelor of Information Technology at the University of Technology Sydney from 2017 to 2020, graduating with distinction.[2]
Contributions
Showing what a coding agent is doing
Claude HUD adds a persistent status display beneath Claude Code’s input. It exposes context use and rate limits, with optional views for active tools, agents and task progress. That makes the agent’s operating constraints visible during a session instead of requiring the user to infer them from output. Its repository documents installation, customization and platform-specific setup. Claude Delegator takes the next step toward supervision: it connects Claude Code to Codex and Gemini specialists that can advise on a problem or implement changes through native MCP integrations.[3][4]
Agents that act onchain
Onchain Agent is an example implementation combining OpenAI’s Assistants API with viem, a TypeScript interface to Ethereum-compatible networks. Its tools can read contracts, check balances, deploy tokens and submit transactions on Abstract Testnet. It illustrates the extra boundary crossed when a language model can take an external action: the agent needs a wallet and explicit blockchain tools rather than text generation alone. The repository is useful as an implementation study for developers already comfortable with TypeScript and test networks.[5]

Claude HUD
github.comA persistent Claude Code status display for context, rate limits and optional tool, agent and task activity.
Start here for a small, concrete improvement to supervising a coding session. The README includes installation and examples; using it requires Claude Code, while understanding the interface needs no blockchain knowledge.
