Jesse Vincent founded and leads Prime Radiant, an applied AI lab, and created the Superpowers development workflow for coding agents. His earlier projects include Request Tracker, K-9 Mail and Keyboardio keyboards.[1]

Career
Vincent’s career spans software, language maintenance and hardware. His first-person biography dates Request Tracker to 1996, K-9 Mail to 2008 and co-founding Keyboardio with Kaia Dekker to 2012. He led Perl 5 from 2009 to 2011 and later founded Prime Radiant in 2025. Request Tracker coordinates issues, K-9 handles Android email and Keyboardio builds ergonomic keyboards, giving his agent work a longer context of tools that support how people work.[2]
Contributions
Superpowers packages software-development practices into instructions a coding agent can use. The workflow clarifies a proposed feature, presents a design for approval, builds an implementation plan and carries out tasks with review and testing. Its units are composable skills rather than a new underlying language model. That makes the intervention concrete: change how the agent approaches and verifies work, while continuing to use an existing coding tool.[3]
Ideas
In his October 2026 anniversary post, Vincent says he built Superpowers to share experience managing junior engineers and later agents. He describes continually revising the workflow as models change, including a rebuilt brainstorming experience in version 7.0. His practical argument is that capable models still benefit from process, context and checks. The post treats understanding the tools and the system being built as necessary expertise, even when the person no longer writes each line manually.[4]
