Background
Ho holds a degree in mathematics and computer science from Harvard University. Before Perplexity, he worked as an engineer at Quora and a high-frequency trader at Tower Research Capital. He is a three-time International Olympiad in Informatics gold medalist; in 2012 he placed first with a perfect score. The AAEOY recognized his product and strategy leadership with its Most Promising Engineer of the Year Award.[1]
Contributions
Perplexity combines web research with language-model responses and includes source citations in its answers. The company routes queries across model services and offers search and research through its applications and developer interfaces. Ho’s role is product and strategy leadership within the founding team. The service’s output reflects a wider organization’s engineering and research, rather than a single person’s authorship.[1][2]
