Career

Lauris describes earlier systemic-risk research at the London School of Economics and a path through financial infrastructure startups. He founded Insrt Labs, which shifted from NFT infrastructure toward consumer products and wound down in December 2025. His current work concerns institutional risk transfer and the conditions under which new derivatives markets become usable.[3]

Contributions

Blanket starts with a business risk written in ordinary language and compares it with listed Kalshi contracts. It shows the purchase cost, contingent payout and remaining business loss. A contract on crude oil, for example, does not track a trucking company’s diesel bill exactly. The tool makes that mismatch explicit and can return no suitable market. Trading occurs on Kalshi.[1]

Maps a stated business risk to a partial event-contract offset, with explicit cost and payout scenarios.

Try a worked business example and compare the risk with the contract’s settlement condition. No coding is required; understand that a related market can leave substantial uncovered exposure.
