Medusa is a Copenhagen-founded open-source software company whose three co-founders — Sebastian Rindom, Oliver Juhl, and Nicklas Gellner — built the platform after hitting the limits of Shopify and WooCommerce while scaling a client's store. Launched publicly in 2021, the project became one of the fastest-growing developer-first commerce platforms on GitHub and raised $8 million in seed funding from LocalGlobe and Dawn Capital.
