Career
Contributions
Mazaheri’s account of Paw begins with a Mac application for sending API requests, viewing responses and organizing calls. With a team, he added synchronization around API projects and descriptions. That changed the business from a one-time purchase for individuals into a subscription product for organizations. He describes the difficulty of making that transition before larger customers arrived.[2]
Ideas
His retrospective connects product decisions with the experience of running a small company. He built an application he wanted to use, charged from the beginning and learned hiring and management as the product grew. After selling Paw and working with its acquirer, he returned to the idea of bootstrapping another business.[2]
