Career

Fredrikson’s résumé traces work from junior system administration in Argentina through infrastructure engineering and SRE leadership. At InVision he worked on monitoring, incident response, production clusters and delivery tooling. His later Split work included cloud infrastructure, engineering guidance and incident-commander training. His current speaker biography also identifies him as a CNCF Ambassador, alongside his educational work through Pelado Nerd.[4][3]

Contributions

Follow a compromise across the application and cluster

His Kubernetes security presentation follows an application vulnerability into cloud metadata access, infrastructure credentials and database exposure. He uses that sequence to explain why application checks alone cannot protect a cluster. The defensive discussion covers workload configuration, API exposure, identity permissions, secret handling and the difference between older and token-based instance metadata access. The Spanish slides connect several configuration choices to one concrete failure path.[5]

Pair explanations with reproducible examples

The Pelado Nerd tutorial repository organizes examples by topic, including Kubernetes, Docker, monitoring and Terraform, and links them to the corresponding videos. These files give viewers a way to inspect the configuration behind a lesson and adapt it to a test environment. Each example belongs to its tutorial’s software versions and setup, so the code is most useful alongside the original explanation.[6]
