PlayCanvas is a London-based web graphics company whose open-source, MIT-licensed engine runs in the browser on WebGL, WebGPU and WebXR. It also offers a browser-based collaborative editor and SuperSplat, a free, open-source browser tool for editing 3D Gaussian splats that is credited here. The engine was open-sourced in June 2014, and Business Insider reported in 2019 that Snap Inc. had acquired the company in 2017.
