Rashaad Baten develops Koda, a Mac desktop coding agent that uses an existing Claude or ChatGPT subscription. The project combines local project files with approval controls and an undo history for agent changes.[1][2][3]

A visible workspace for agent actions
Koda puts the project folder, previews and agent conversation in one desktop workspace. It shows proposed file changes and commands so the user can choose the level of approval. Notes carry project context into later conversations, while saved versions provide a path back after an unwanted edit.[3]
Keep recovery separate from the project’s Git history
The open-source client uses Electron, React and TypeScript around the bundled Claude and Codex command-line engines. Its per-change undo history stays separate from the project’s own Git repository. The local client works independently; cloud synchronization, backup and phone control belong to an optional service outside the public repository.[2]
