Reggie James is a writer, product designer and creative director at General Catalyst. He previously cofounded and led Eternal, and co-created HARDWARE 2024, an independently published record of physical technology products and the people making them.[1][2]

James cofounded Eternal, an AI gaming and new-media company acquired in 2025. At General Catalyst he directs brand, storytelling and design for the firm and its wider network. He graduated from Wharton in economics, with an individualized concentration examining why products are designed as they are and why capital favors some ideas. His Product Lost publication continues that interest in the relationship between technology and culture.[4]

HARDWARE 2024 combines product photography, interviews and essays about the year’s hardware launches. James’s launch post identifies collaborators Juliyen Davis and Sharlene Deng and includes an extended interview with Teenage Engineering cofounder Jesper Kouthoofd.
