Contributions
Build the compiler in the language it compiles
dartc explores compiling Dart source into standalone native executables. Its compiler, allocator, runtime algorithms and machine-code generation are implemented in Dart. A staged bootstrap checks whether successive native builds agree in behavior. It is an early compiler project: asynchronous code, isolates and substantial parts of the standard library remain outside its implemented compatibility.[3]
Make database operations visible to the type system
Dart ORM starts with plain Dart models and generates typed tables and query APIs. Database sessions make transaction boundaries explicit, while migration definitions and fingerprints help developers review schema changes. The current beta documents its verified SQLite and PostgreSQL environments rather than promising identical support across every platform.[4]

Read the compatibility gaps before compiling a small example. Use the documented release for your target platform; this is compiler research, so a successful example does not imply that a full Dart application is supported.
