Thoriq Akbar builds AI products and open-source agent tools. At Pandai he is part of the founding AI team and leads engineering for AskPbot, MathDrill and P&AI. His independent work explores browser workflows and interfaces that adapt to an agent’s task.[1]

Career
Before Pandai, Akbar describes founding and lead-engineering work at Xcent and Newgen Web Development and mobile-product work at Black Ace Media. At Difabis he helps run a cafe and builds accessible software alongside Deaf colleagues. His portfolio connects those operational needs with building interfaces, backend systems and agent behavior.[1]
Contributions
A prototype for changing the working surface
Ernie combines a desktop interface with Prime Agent and explores using hot-reloaded Zenbu plugins to change that interface. Akbar distinguishes the arrangements demonstrated on the site from the complete task-driven interaction he wants to build. The latter still needs end-to-end validation, including preserving notes and making changes understandable while the person works.[2]
Connect agents to the browser
Agent Lite adapts an agent-browser workflow around Camofox. Its repository supplies commands and setup instructions for agents using browser sessions, page references and actions. The project focuses on connecting an existing browser environment to an agent’s work rather than creating a new base model.[3]
Ideas
In Introducing Ernie, Akbar argues that an agent should help choose how its findings are presented, not merely append messages to a chat. A literature comparison might need papers and sources beside each other; a review might need changed files and failing checks. He wants the person to judge the usefulness of the result without prescribing every investigative step.[2]
