About
Lasso is a free Mac app that puts a transparent canvas over any app so you can circle, highlight, point and number things on screen with a shortcut, then clear the drawing with Escape. It can also capture an annotated screenshot to paste into AI tools such as Claude, Cursor or ChatGPT. It requires macOS 14 or later and supports Apple silicon and Intel.
Why it made the leaderboard
Turns a vague verbal description of a UI problem into a precise visual annotation an agent can see, reducing back-and-forth when directing AI coding assistants at specific screen regions.
