Spikeforge is an open-source Python toolkit for building, training, inspecting, and deploying spiking neural networks, which process information as event-driven spikes rather than continuous values at every step. It bundles encoding, training, topology design, and deployment tooling (including a lava_loihi2 backend and a browser-based dashboard) into one pipeline, aimed at always-on, low-power applications like sensors, robots, cameras, and audio systems.
Why it made the leaderboard
It packages the fragmented spiking-neural-network toolchain (encoding, training, deployment, model hub) into one usable pipeline for researchers building event-driven, low-power AI systems.
