Context
Interfaze 1.1 Lite combines a with specialist models for tasks such as reading documents and transcribing speech. The reasoning model selects specialists and assembles their results; the hosted API can constrain the answer to a developer-specified JSON structure. For document reading, one component extracts text while another locates lines on the page, allowing the output to include positions and confidence scores. The developers describe this architecture in the model README.
Those extra fields let an application decide which extracted material needs human review instead of receiving only a finished answer. The developers also state that the complete system runs on one GPU with 80 GB of memory, without external services. The README describes that deployment requirement.
- interfaze-1.1-lite targets tasks with a deterministic answer, such as OCR, speech-to-text with speaker diarization and classification, and returns the result in a caller-supplied JSON schema.
- It pairs a reasoning core with specialist models (document reader, line detector, speech recognizer, segmentation); the core decides which specialists run.
- Raw specialist outputs, including bounding boxes, word timestamps and per-line and per-word confidence, come back beside the answer, so callers can auto-accept high-confidence rows and route the rest to a human.
- The authors say it runs on a single 80 GB GPU such as an H100 with no additional services.
- reasoning model — A model trained to think — generating extended internal reasoning before answering — trading time and tokens for accuracy on hard problems.
- open weights — A model whose trained parameters are published for anyone to download and run — unlike API-only models you can access but never possess.
