About
Unmute is a command-line compiler that turns a YAML and Markdown specification of a voice agent (its persona, models, tools, state, and call flow) into a standalone Python project targeting Pipecat or LiveKit. It generates pinned dependencies, a Dockerfile, and a runbook, and rejects specs that contain mistakes it can catch before they reach a live call, so teams own the generated code instead of depending on a hosted platform.
Why it made the leaderboard
Lets teams define a voice agent once and get real, ownable code for either major open-source voice runtime instead of being tied to one framework's abstractions.
