speedwidget

About

A macOS desktop widget that shows internet speed, ping and connection stability while using very little data. It reads kernel interface byte counters and sends small pings, with an automatic speed test at most every three hours, so it suits laptops on phone hotspots or hotel Wi-Fi. It also provides a command line interface and JSON files so scripts and AI agents can read the status.
